2021
The studio provides a framework for architectural thinking and practice in Israel’s urban reality. It offers an alert and sensitive way to deal with existing urban tissues. The students addressed current urban topics such as spatial injustice, gentrification, extreme climatic scenarios Memory and local histories. They asked: How do you plan inclusive, sustainable and healthy environments and also prepare for changes in the future? In their projects the students identified existing structural and spatial qualities and reformulate them in a manner relevant to the needs of the time. They respond the need for urban densification while managing the economic forces.
