The Center for Architectural Research and Development (CARD)

The Center for Architectural Research and Development was founded in the 1980s. The center creates the intellectual and administrative infrastructure for the activities of a large number of researchers and research labs in architecture, landscape architecture and industrial design. Its research topics are diverse: energy and lighting in buildings, housing, conservation of the marine environment, morphology, urban design, development of design and production methods and topics related to digital design and production.

The following labs operate within the center:

Architectural Visual Perception Lab (AVPLab)

Big Data in Architectural Research Lab (BDAR)

Climate and Energy Lab in Architecture (CELA)

Computational Fabrication Design Lab (CFDL)

Design Tech Lab

HousingLab: History and Future of Living Research Group

Human and Biodiversity Research Lab
