I was born in Lugansk, Ukraine, in 1981. I received my M.Sc. and first Ph.D. in economics from the Volodymyr Dahl Eastern Ukrainian National University, in 2004 and 2011, respectively. My second Ph.D. in remote sensing was completed at the University of Haifa, Israel, in 2018. Since 2019 to 2021, I was a post-doc at the Dept. of Mathematics, University of Leicester, UK, and School of Environmental Studies, University of Haifa. Currently, I am a research fellow at the Dept. of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Haifa, and a post-doc fellow at the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at the Technion. Research interests: day- and night-time remote sensing, spatial data analysis, regional economics, urban growth.
