Pliouchtch, Ph.D., is an architect and a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa. She was director of the Architectural Heritage Research Centre at the Technion, IIT, from 2003 until 2008. Her work on the architecture and urban design of the 19th and 20th centuries is widely published. She is the author of the book Richard Kauffmann and the Zionist Project (Tel Aviv: Hakibbutz Hameuhad, 2016, with Levin, Michael).
