100 years of Nesher: an architectural tribute to the city’s historical sites

Students from the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning built models of historical sites in the city of Nesher, as part of a collaboration between the Nesher municipality and the Technion, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Nesher. The students focused on documenting six various sites in the city of Nesher, from the list of sites for conservation.

The project was led by Dr. Irit Carmon Popper and Dr. Oryan Shachar, researchers and lecturers in the field of history and architectural theory at the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, as part of their joint course – “Site and Archive: Documentation and Research Practices for Preservation and Planning.” In the course, which is being held for the fifth year, the students are researching sites and spaces for preservation while .
