Rich combines ac research activities, with active practice in the areas of urban planning and innovation, integrating spatial planning, strategic policy, technology and data. Previously he was a founder of the Israeli Green Building Council, and between the years 2009-2012 he served as Senior director for building at the Israeli planning administration. In recent years he has been managing SUITS, which promotes advanced urban and spatial strategies and smart cities in Israel and around the world, including consulting the UNHABITAT developing Africa's first statewide smart city roadmap for Rwanda.
