Izabela Levy is a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning. She holds a master’s degree in Printmaking from the Academy of Fine Arts (Poland, 2002), a master’s degree in fine arts from the University of Florida (US, 2005) and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University (US, 2010).
She is a landscape architect and artist, specializing in landscape design from a socio-ecological standpoint and in implementation of sustainable solutions that contribute positively to both people and the environment. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to crafting creative solutions for public spaces that integrate evidence-based research with her knowledge of the arts, striving for cutting-edge landscape architecture solutions. In 2010, she joined the New York landscape architecture office Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates. During her ten years of practical experience, she worked on various aspects of research, design, and representation, including historical and material research, concept studies, site analysis, and visual communications. She engaged in nearly all the competitions in the office, contributing to the research-oriented innovative design projects that pushed the limits of the profession.
