Rapid urbanization has led to significant environmental and ecological degradation, necessitating innovative architectural approaches that equitably address the needs of human and other-than-human stakeholders. Contributing to a larger framework, this research presents a hybrid computational model for multispecies design decision-making, focusing on ecologically informed building envelopes. By sequentially integrating multi-objective and multi-attribute decision-making, the model optimizes stakeholder objectives using key performance indicators while evaluating trade-offs and synergies across diverse priorities. Computational case studies illustrate the model’s adaptability and effectiveness in negotiating selected interdisciplinary data such as building performance, plant species diversity, and animal connectivity. By bridging decision-making gaps between architecture and ecology, this research offers a robust framework to support ecologically inclusive design practices toward sustainable multispecies urban environments.
