The seminar will focus on research into the design and fabrication of artificial coral reefs using mineral accretion technology (BioRock) through electrolysis. This study explores the application of kirigami techniques, using laser-cut metal sheets, to create structures that support marine ecosystems via prolonged low-voltage current. The seminar will present digital design and manufacturing processes, experiments in mineral accretion technology through electrolysis, and the use of parametric tools for developing site-specific structures.
