Dr. Israel Fabian

Urban and Regional Planning Track
Dr. Fabian Israel is a social science researcher with a multidisciplinary background in sociology, urban planning (PhD), and transport studies. He is a Research Fellow at the Samuel Neaman Institute and a postdoctoral researcher at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. With more than a decade of experience in national and international projects, his research explores how mobility innovations and urban planning concepts shape urban life, accessibility, wellbeing, and social inclusion, with a particular focus on reducing inequities across social and spatial contexts. In addition to research, he has taught transport geography, planning theory, statistics, and urban economics at Utrecht University, the Technion, and the University of Haifa, and has supervised numerous theses using advanced quantitative and qualitative methods.
