Urbanization increasingly fragments habitats, undermining biodiversity and ecological resilience. While urban parks and wildlife crossings remain essential, their ability to counter biodiversity decline is limited by the scarcity of available space in high-density urban areas. Restoring ecological continuity therefore requires integrating biodiversity-supporting functions into the built environment. This research proposes a designer-oriented, multi-scale computational framework integrating ecological and architectural data to guide multispecies habitat distribution. At the urban scale, Habitat Suitability Modelling and ecological assessment identify areas of ecological deficit and intervention priority. At the building scale, species functional traits are linked with environmental, morphological, and contextual data to translate ecological requirements into habitat-placement strategies. Tested in Israeli contexts, the framework demonstrates its applicability and potential to introduce a new dimension in architectural multispecies design.
