Dear all,
The world around us is changing at an unprecedented pace. Architects, designers, planners, and landscape architects play a unique and influential role in shaping the future. The spaces we create as professionals—our cities, buildings, artefacts, and landscapes—have a lasting impact on people’s well-being, quality of life, and the future of humanity and the planet itself.
Humanity is navigating through turbulent times. Both Israel and the world are grappling with rapid urbanization, climate change, resource depletion, housing crises, and social inequality. While the challenges are vast, so too are the opportunities. At the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at the Technion, our researchers, students, and alumni are at the forefront of shaping solutions. Their work profoundly influences how we live, move, interact, and experience the world around us.
Our faculty offers four interconnected disciplines—architecture, landscape architecture, urban and regional planning, and industrial design—providing a broad, dynamic, and interdisciplinary perspective. We do not just teach and research these fields; we challenge conventional thinking, develop and promote new ideas, and create solutions that shape a better future.
With up-to-date programs, cutting-edge research, and state-of-the-art labs, we ensure that our students receive the most forward-thinking education. We go beyond teaching technical skills; we foster a critical mindset, instill ethical responsibility, and deepen their understanding of the social, cultural, and environmental forces that shape our world.
The decisions we make as design and planning professionals will influence not just the way the world around us will look, but also our path toward sustainability, social justice, and even human flourishing. Our ambition is to nurture research and professional traditions that design for people, for communities, and for generations to come.
Welcome to a place where ideas are born and developed, and where creativity shapes the future.
