Congrats to Arch. Rasha Bowirrat for winning the Azrieli fellowship scholarship

Congratulations to Arch. Rasha Bowirrat, a master student in urban and regional planning, for winning the Azrieli Fellowship scholarship for her outstanding multidisciplinary research as well as her commitment to improving the community. On top of the Azrieli Fellowship, Rasha was also awarded a scholarship by the Israeli Smart Transportation Research Center (ISTRC) for her research.

Rasha`s research focuses on walkability issues and problems, and tries to explain and enrich walkability analysis and measures in cities using state-of-the-art big data tools and analyses.

Her research is guided by Prof. Karel Martens, chair of the Graduate Program for Urban and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning, and Prof. Yoram Shiftan, head of the Israeli Smart Transportation Center and faculty member at the Technion’s Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
