Kartikeya Date is an architect from Bombay, India. He completed his Ph.D. in Architecture from University of California, Berkeley. His research is concerned with role of computing in architectural representation and design. In recent work, he has worked on developing models to support the simulation of how buildings might be used and has experience of developing abstract, computable representations of buildings and building objects. He is currently working on the problem of automating architectural archives. This problem lies at the intersection of architectural computing and architectural history.
